There are many reasons you might wish to avoid Russian steel-cased ammo. Maybe you’ve got a fine Ruger American Ranch Rifle or AR-47 and wouldn’t like to pass steel through its chamber. Maybe you’re a handloader and want all the brass cases you can amass. Or maybe you’re going to a range that bans magnetic projectiles, or you just don’t trust bimetal jackets in your barrel. Whatever your reason for wanting true-blue brass-cased 7.62x39 ammo, you’re certain to approve of what Prvi Partizan is up to!
This Serbian-made 7.62x39 cartridge has a 123 grain bullet. Cut it in half and you will find lead on the inside and copper alloy on the outside – but you won’t find any magnetic steel. The bullet’s 2,461 fps muzzle velocity is standard for its weight class, and is fast enough to deliver serviceable medium range accuracy as well as devastating energy at close range.
Prvi Partizan exclusively loads new production brass cases. They also have nothing to do with corrosive or Berdan primers – as such this ammo doesn’t require any sort of special cleaning, and reloading its case is a snap thanks to its single flash hole. This is new production ammo, not old military surplus that’s been sitting around in a warehouse, so its only real problem is that there are a mere 15 rounds to a box!
